I’m so conflicted.

I feel censored. I feel like my mind has been manipulated for so long that I don’t even realize it. I have an idea, and just with a few words, an influential person in my life can just manipulate my thoughts. I always thought my ideas were independent and my own. Now I’m beginning to doubt that. This is depressing me. It just hit me in the face. I’m not talking propaganda and stuff. I’m talking about other people projecting their ideas on me, and my body just absorbing their projection with no second thoughts. Until now. Until I realized it now. I’m not sure I can describe how I feel right now. But I do know I’m confused….

The reason why bad things continue on happening in the world? Because whenever something good comes along that we can do, that the whole world can unite and collaborate in doing, there are always the cynics, the pessimists, the doubters, the people who do nothing but criticize every single good movement happening and then complain about why the world is evil. There are millions of problems in the world, problems that have been going on for centuries and decades and that continue to be unresolved.

Several factors come into play when trying to solve problems, and so we can’t just solve everything on our own, we need to find a common ground and a realistic solution and act on it immediately, and sometimes we don’t find that. Now, with the Kony2012 initiative, the whole world has finally been able to unite on fighting an obvious evil to all. You can’t argue that keeping Kony in a position of power, and allowing the enrollment of children into the military and to work as sex slaves, is good. And yet, people still try to act so smart and like being rebels so much, that they actually tell people to divert their attention from it!

Yes, there are many other problems to solve, but let’s take one problem at a time, and we’ve already gained so much momentum and support to actually help solve this one problem, and you still act negatively towards it? Help in any way you can! And if you don’t feel like helping (just because you want to lay back and watch the events of the world unfold by themselves), then don’t divert people away from such an initiative! This is good, and if you have a better idea to solve the problem you find to be a priority, then please go ahead and act! All you cynics, pessimists, doubters, and naysayers do is just talk. You just talk and complain and in the end we see no result except diverting people from doing good. You just lay back and speak your mind, knowing that what you say is influencing others, but you have to be aware of what you say! You either stop complaining and do something, act, fight for what you think is right, or just sit down, shut up, and let those who do good fix the world for you, because all your negative speech does is just break down everything people work hard to build and mend.
